Hey Sangria..Lighten Up!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!!!!! Here’s a low calorie, all natural SANGRIA recipe that I like to make. Fill your favorite glass with ice; add 4 oz. of red wine (Merlot, Cabernet, Pinot Noir, Chianti, Shiraz, etc.) with 6 oz. of your favorite natural sparkling water. I like to use Wegman’s brand all natural sparkling water in lime flavor (also mandarin, wild berries or lemon are good). Slice up some fresh fruit: oranges, lemon, lime, wild cherries and/or strawberries.) Sit back, relax and sip this refreshing spritzer style SANGRIA drink for only 100 calories, while reaping the heart protective benefits of flavonoids and polyphenols if enjoyed in moderation.
