When I cook, seldom, okay next to never, do I ever seek out or find a recipe and then go out to the store and buy those items. I shop about once a week; stocking up on fresh and frozen fruits and vegetables, herbs, whole grains, lean meats, lean dairy, fish, etc. WHOLE FOODS!
On any given day, I can randomly pull ingredients together to create unique dishes that are healthy, savory and easy; not to mention time saving from not running around gathering ingredients.
It’s really as simple as that. I carry many spices that I love, along with healthy oils and before I know it, I have another unique creation to enjoy. I find that this approach is budget friendly, nutritious, fresh and it is fun and creative.
I encourage all of you to try this approach if you do not already. Anyone can find a recipe, get the ingredients and follow step by step, but why not give a try at being your own creative self in the kitchen. You WILL surprise yourself.
